Mardy and Neil Dunn earned the David Daniels Award of Excellence, but they
weren't able to attend the banquet. They will be back in Florida at
Speedweeks however, and will be showing off their newly built tech cart
which will be a great addition to MMRA.The next major award was the MMRA
Leadership Award which was presented to Donnie Mingus for the leadership he
showed by fielding the Super Team in 2007, creating the DBV Caution Free
Bonus, and supporting our Future Stars of Racing program. Donnie was
referenced during the program by several teams from the US and Canada who
appreciated his support of MMRA racing.
All drivers in attendance were recognized and brought on stage to receive
their awards and thank their families, sponsors, and friends in the sport.
Everyone made it but Doc (pictured right) who was "unavailable" when his
name was called, but Vic caught up with him later. Most of all, the
champions were excited to receive their solid gold MMRA Championship Rings.

The 2007 season is now in the recordbooks and all of us who were there
will have fond memories for years to come. We hope to see everyone
back in Florida next February for the Speedweeks Special and the beginning
of another great season of MMRA racing. |
