MMRA Super License Info
Five years ago, MMRA only had two divisions - Future Stars and Open
Division. In recent years, as the number of divisions has increased,
we have more competitors than ever that run in multiple divisions.
This has required the competitors to fill out multiple forms and MMRA to
process the same information multiple times.
In an effort to save everyone involved time and money - and also
designate the most serious racers in our sport, we have developed the MMRA
Super License. This single license will allow a competitor to
compete in any division for which they meet the qualifications without any
additional paperwork. Points will be earned for all these events and
theoretically, a single individual could win multiple championships.
Here are some FAQ's. 1. What are the fees in 2007? Standard MMRA
membership fees are $80 for drivers and $35 for associate/crew members.
These fees apply for any single division in MMRA. The Super License
will be $175 for drivers. 2. What are the benefits of a Super
License? - Just one form, and you can compete in any Division
for which you meet all requirements
- Less expensive than joining three Divisions
- More prestigious license - especially with new hard card system
- Prepared to race in any Division, anytime a car is available 3.
Where will I be listed on the Members page if I have a Super License?
The first column on the page will be just for Super License members. 4.
Can minors get a Super License? Yes, there will be two Super License
forms - one for minors and one for adults. The version for minors will
include space for an Associate member. As an example, a 15 year old
racer with 4 years racing experience and a Super License, could compete and
earn points in Future Stars, Open, Junior PRO, and PRO Division races.
5. When will the membership forms be posted? All membership
forms are posted now. Click on the "Join MMRA" link on the left. |
