This Touring Series race was the
final event of the Tennessee Tripleheader and MMRA teams rolled into
Nashville ready to see who still had the will to win after three long days
of racing. Whatever the reason, half of the races were won by first
time Touring Series race winners in their division. In Future Stars, Dylan
Presnell continued his strong performance by earning his first Music City
Motorplex guitar. In the Open Division, former Future Star Donald
McIntosh showed he still can handle a minicup by beating the field to the
checkered flag. Junior PRO action saw the dominant Jacob France notch
another victory, and local racer Lindsay Daniels notched her first ever
Touring Series win in the PRO Division. After the race, MMRA tech
officials checked headers and springs on minicup cars in addition to the
regular weight check. On Baby Grands, carburetors were again checked.
All cars were within specs. It was a great end to a great weekend.
After three straight days of racing everyone was ready to get some rest, but
the chance to race several times in one trip seemed to be a winner with the
competitors. Next up on the schedule is a doubleheader at Shenandoah
Speedway in Virginia. We'll see you there.
