2006 MMRA Local Club
Support Package
While MMRA works hard to organize and promote our high profile Touring
and Grand National events, we also recognize that successful local clubs are
critical to the success of our major events. For the first time, we
have developed a comprehensive package to help local clubs get their
programs rolling, and then help them avoid some common mistakes as they
grow. This package will be available to local leaders wherever we have
at least 10 MMRA members in 2006. The support package includes:
1.
Sponsorship Kit – Includes 5 minute promo DVD, sponsorship proposal
tailored for local car dealership, sponsorship agreement, proposed budget,
proposed promotions for sponsorship, and thank you letter
2.
Tech Manual – Describes tech process for local leaders with emphasis
on the ease of tech with a sealed engine program. Also describes value of
separation between racers and tech – i.e. leaders kid and value of tech
committee.
3.
Track Proposal – Describes how to approach tracks and how to schedule
races. Emphasizes non-conflict with Touring Series, back to back races, and
coordinating with adjacent clubs.

MMRA Racing News Magazines
5.
MMRA Touring Series Race – in selected markets
6.
Effective Common Rulebook
7.
Regularly updated website with local events listed on schedule page,
members listed on members page, and updated points listing
8.
National awards program including solid gold championship rings and
awards banquet
9.
Credibility of a National organization to back up the local program
with membership cards, driver uniform patches, and contingency decals.
10.
Leads – MMRA forwards requests for more information from potential
racers to local leaders for followup.
Our hope is that by providing this information and support, local leaders
can grow their program. With more success on the local level, there
will be more racers who will seek out the challenge of our Touring and Grand
National events.
