Colorado Promotion - Mattie Whitten at
Home Depot, June, 2004
The local Home Depot held a large parking lot party and brought in local
racers and a Tony Stewart showcar. Mattie Whitten participated along
with her #57 Baby Grand racecar. This was a great promotional effort
not only for her team, but also for MMRA PRO Division racing.
During the day, Mattie gave out over 150 signed "Hero" cards to fans.
You can bet that these young girls will treasure a personally signed card by
a real racecar driver. Mattie is doing a great job for her sponsors
who received exposure at the event, and will continue to be on the walls and
refrigerators of dozens of local homes long into the future.
MMRA racecars are always a hit with the kids. Their smaller size
is less intimidating, and Mattie was nice to even allow kids to sit in her
car. You won't see that from the fancy Cup teams anymore.
